Why Business Is Like Dating!

As a social media users, one of the things that drives me insane is how people market.

Let me give you an example.

Someone connects with you on Linkedin. The first thing you get from them is a message saying here are my services.

There is no getting to know you. All they want to do is sell and sell.

This does not work at all.

Let me explain.

When I first met Tiz we went out for dinner so we could talk. Get to know each other.

During our weekly dates we grew as individuals and as a couple.

Look where we are now.

We have a great partnership and a loving and caring relationship for each other.

This did not happen right away – it took time to build.

Business is like dating – it takes time to build the relationship.

Do not hard sell. Build the relationship first and you will be much better off.
