Show Summary

Rob Cairns shares his podcast origin story.

Show Notes

Hey everybody, Rob, Cairns here and in today’s podcast. I really wanted to talk about my podcast Origin story and why I started podcasting. People always ask me all the time, why did you podcast, what got you into doing it? So let me kind of digress back to when I was younger these days. I’m 57. I started podcasting at the start of COVID.

But.

Really my interest? Was as a kid growing up with AMC.

Yeah.

And if you know anything about AM radio, it’s kind of talk radio. That’s what AM tries on. Part 1010. Hey, I’m gonna borrow from Toronto. How can I help you and hear your opinion? Podcasting very similar to AM radio.

And.

It’s very much talk. Not all of it. Very much storytelling. I listen to several podcasts as a consumer business, wars and business movers, and they kind of tell a story with reenactments. And I’ve been listening to podcasts for a long, long time. And then I decided that to start a COVID. You know, to mine. Did Newark cripple interviews? And I never thought. I would be over 400 episodes. I don’t coming down on 500. I did a couple of interviews because I enjoyed doing them. I did 2, I did three, I did 4. And before you know, we hit 480 and that’s a big deal. And. I actually started off doing 2 podcasts at once and then realized. Branding to. Even if I did them weekly. Separately, it’s more harder than doing new shows. In one podcast a week more than once. And it’s kind of evolved. When I started, I did some solo shows and some interviews. Now I do some solo shows some interviews and I actually have four regular guests. So my four people join me on a regular basis are Ryan Waterbury. Doug Jones, him, Nash and one may need, and they all have specific topics that they join and talk about. Ryan and I do agency talk Jim Nash and I do security one they need and I do. We talked Warren talks about s s. No. And Todd Jones and I do a segment called copywriting with Todd Jones. So they each have specifics. And it’s kind of evolved into that. And I still do regular interviews. I’ve had amazing interviews with people all over the business space and all over the world. Press space and all over the marketing space. I’m always looking for more people to join me in the productivity circles and that are are more business. Oriented, but you know, would love to have them so. Talked everybody soon, and that’s kind of a bit about how I got into podcasting and what I’m doing now. Rob Cairns, Chief digital strategist at Stunning Digital Marketing.
