Hey everybody. Rob here and again. In today’s podcast, I want to talk about something that many small businesses do not do well, and that’s investing time and effort into marketing their business. They think, and they still subscribe to that old theory. Put it out there and they will come and it doesn’t work that way anymore.

The business landscape is so competitive. So people say, but I’m busy today. I’ll mark it when I don’t have time. Well, the reason you’re marketing your business is to future proof your business so I don’t buy the I’m too busy to invest time in my own business. I should just. Do client work. It doesn’t work that way. What I would strongly, strongly strongly suggest. Is that those? Who market their business on a consistent and a regular basis are more successful than those who don’t. And that helps get around this whole feast or famine cycle. It’s busy one day. It’s not busy the next day it will lead to a more consistent. How do you do that?

 It’s really simple. You take your calendar and your book an hour, an hour and a half a day, every day into your calendar to do business, promotion and marketing. So one of the things I booked in is for example. Doing this podcast this is business promotion for my business. I’d be lying to you if I said it wasn’t, and I booked that time in every week to do podcast for you, the listener and the viewer. I booked time into my schedule to do e-mail marketing and a newsletter. I booked time into my schedule to update my website to update my offers to run ads and so on and so forth. So what I would tell everybody is book yourself an hour to an hour and a half a day to market your business. And just say I’m done and and do that consistently and I guarantee you. You’re investing the time and the effort your business will get better very soon and just keep at it and keep at it and keep at it.
