Today I’ll return to. I’m the CEO and Chief creators amazing ideas stunning digital marketing calm. Today I want to talk to you about something that you should really take notice of for your business. This is an issue that has impacted me as a business professional time and time again, let us start by the scenario first, you contract XYZ company to build your first website. Currently, you don’t even own the domain for the website, that’s going to build a website and register the domain for you not thinking anymore about the domain. The web developer registered your domain for you. All is great. The website goes live and we’re all happy. And the site and your domain name work well. So you thought Three years later, you change their new web development agency, you asked your old web developer for access to the domain name sre comm report. So you can read point your DNS settings. The old developer says no, Houston, we have a problem. You go back and check your contract. Nothing is mentioned about ownership of the domain. Not a good situation. Contracts should say everything, you really do have a problem. I’ve been this route for my clients more than once. On several occasions, deal developer turn the domain name over several times replaced leverage on your developer to get that domain name. And once we even had to wait for the domain expired to pass the domain registration waiting period, then registered the domain ourselves What a pain that took about 45 days after expired. And all the contracts we do at stunning digital marketing.com. We state the client owns all and I mean all domain names that we register for ethics means everything to us. Our team handles this by registering a domain name for a client in either the current account or a brand new account, not the account on by sending digital marketing.com. Once the client pays for the project in full, we hand this domain account over as part of our handover process. This way the client owns the domain and has 100% control over the domain, no mess, no fuss, to use ethics in business to us ethics and businessman. This is a way to protect both your business and be honorable and give your clients within paid for. Remember, own your own domain name and make sure that your contract says she do. The contract is only as good as the thought that goes into it to protect both parties. Think about this and really your domain name is part of your branding so protect yourself.
