Show Notes

Hi Everyone, Robert Cairns here. I am the CEO/Chief Creator of Amazing Ideas at StunningDigitalMarketing.com. Today I want to talk about something that can help you in business and in life.

That is the art of saying no!

No what do you mean you might ask?

When somebody asks you to do something you do not want to do, just say no. I know you are thinking that is uncaring or not reasonable. Well, it is neither. Let me explain.

What happens with most people is you are asked to do something. When you think about it you really do not want to. But you do not want to upset the person who asked you – so you say maybe.

Maybe is the worst word you can use. This gives the asker a glimmer of hope. Now you will have the asker calling you until you finally give in or the asker gets frustrated and goes elsewhere. Then they get ticked off at you.

The easier alternative is just to be upfront and say no. Yes, this might cause some discussion but stick to your guns. You never want to be in the position of doing something you do not want to do. It might cause some hurt but if the other party respects you, they will get it in the long run.

If they do not respect you and want to use you they will not understand and try and get you to change your mind. Do not change it, it’s not worth it.

Remember NO is a very powerful word.

As always, thanks for listening and talk soon.
