Hey, y’all, Robert Cairns here again. So in today’s podcast, I want to talk about something that came up was out on a walk today. And that’s businesses need to set up proper email accounts. I was out walking the neighborhood where my mom lives. And I came across all those real estate sites. And basically, they all the email addresses were@gmail.com, generally, with the exception of one. So I thought I’d address this and use it as a learning example, in today’s podcasts. The problem I have with this from real estate agents is they’re sampling high end products. So they’re selling million dollar homes, and you cannot afford to have a proper email address that really has somebody looking to buy a home, my kids concern me, what I would suggest they do is use a service like G Suite, registered domain, which is about 10 to $20, a year, at G Suite for one email will cost you somewhere around 30 bucks a year. And then Ford what’s called your MX records, your mail records to G Suite. And then you have a domain set up as a professional domain, very inexpensive, and it looks 10 times better than using a Gmail account. And what I think sometimes people do is a they’re lazy, B, everybody does it. So I’ll do it. And they don’t believe in standing out from the crowd. And if you want to learn more about standing out from the crowd, go read that book I like called the inside advantage by Robert bloom talks all about that, and see a really, really don’t care. And they think the public is oblivious. Well I for one kind of look at emails and say Jesus is unprofessional. Why do I want to deal with this person, you spend all the money on signage, but it can’t be bothered as your branding to have a proper email address going to a domain. I really don’t get it. And I don’t get frankly, the laziness in it. And it’s I see prominently with real estate agents lately. But they see it with many other businesses. They just don’t set things up the right way. And I think if you can afford email hosting, at $130 a year and 20 bucks for a domain 150 bucks, should you really be in business? I questioned that. And I question that question. And again, you know, it same discussion happened the other day with a web hosting online and my friend Trevor current jumped in and said, you know, web hosting is the cost of doing business. And Trevor, shout out to you I agree wholeheartedly, and having a proper email domain is a cost of doing business. So, you know, I, I really believe that you need to set your business up properly to succeed, and you don’t need to set it up for failure. So just a quickie today, set up your email properly get a domain, get an email hosting provider, you can go to G Suite, you can go to Microsoft, you can use your web host but do something properly. And later on this week I’ll talk about why G Suite over all the other providers in this podcast.
