Show Notes

Hey everybody, Rob here again. In today’s podcast entitled That when Life throws you a curveball and I thought I’d share with you some transparency on some things that have gone on lately, at the end of February, I actually took really sick. I thought truthfully, I had a bad cold. It was right before Pod Camp. I wasn’t. Feeling really well, I slept for a few days. And I was really sore in the back of the neck and I just figured I had a bug. I’ve had a flu shot and I take care of myself. Well, the long and short of it was, it turns out I developed a bit of an Abscess in the back and the neck and unfortunately that Abscess got worse and worse and worse and actually an infection. Him and I’m diabetic and that cause my blood sugar to go through the roof. The end result to that was an ambulance trip to the Markham Stovall Hospital and eight days in the ICU. And they worked on antibiotics to help the Abscess. And my blood sugar. So I’m now back on insulin, two types long acting short acting and two sets of pills. And I’m still getting antibiotics for the Abscess. I’m actually carrying a portable IV pump until April the 5th, so I’m working on that as well, so there’s a lot going on here and. I kind of share this to say it’s all how you deal with it and I think I’ve been pretty positive in all this. So I’ve been kind of, I know I need to get better. I’ve got some great medical help behind me. I’ve got a great families and friends and amazing partner in life. With and, that’s all helped the mindset and. I’ve done a lot of thinking and a lot of reflecting the last couple of weeks. And more and more realized I don’t have time for a lot of problems and crap, but I do. Want to move forward so it’s just kind of figuring it out today. I’ve got after this podcast record. I’ve got an appointment with the endocrinologist. So we’ll talk about the diabetes, which will be. Some and I want to try and figure out how to manage the insulin and stepping back into an exercise program cause you gotta be careful sugar low. So I’m kind of working on that as well. So that’s kind of a lot of what’s been going on. Business is good. I’ve rejigged some stuff nice to get my help desk. Out the last couple of days getting some things done. My newsletter is back running. This podcast is back running and I wanna shout out to all the people who’ve wish me well. Thank me. Help me dropped in. Call text that you’re all so much appreciated
